April & May & Questions for You

Two questions:

1) Do you want to split these up and discuss half each month or meet in May and discuss them all?

2) Is there anyone who hasn't led a discussion yet who would lead this/these or June, July or August's colloquia?

February Date Change & Readings

The plan is to meet on the 3rd Friday on the month now but this month the Mertens will be out of town and we so love having it at their home that we will still meet there, just on the next Friday, February 28th. The readings will be thrilling as always, if you consider it thrilling studying some of the most history-changing, courageous people to have ever lived and left their words for posterity.

February ST. AUGUSTINE: CONFESSIONS [Book I-VIII] Vol. 1 8, pp. i -6 1
MACHIAVELLI: THE PRINCE Vol. 23, pp. 1-37

Enjoy and discuss on here as you please.

Oh, and we'll bring a little something for the sweet tooth. See you there!

Date Change & January 2014 Readings

Readings:

NEW TESTAMENT [The Gospel According to Saint Matthew, The
Acts of the Apostles]
FYI You can always look at the first post on here called "The Plan" to see what we are or will be reading if I am being...slow.

Date Change:

We have been meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Our most regular attendees agreed that Fridays would work as well or better for them so we made a change. This month we will meet in our usual location, the Merton's, at our usual time, 7:30, but we we meet the Friday after we were going to meet. That makes it the 24th of January and we hope to see you there. After this month, we will meet on 3rd Fridays:

Feb. 21, March 21, April 18, May 16 and so on.

I think meeting on the weekends will make it feel even more social. I like it.
